Wellington’s own Uber Driver has accelerated his DJ career through expert track selection and incredible diversity. Since he started out in 2016, he has showcased charisma and talent behind the decks playing at festivals such as Rhythm and Alps, touring New Zealand extensively and opening for acts ranging from Peanut Butter Wolf to Ross From Friends.
His debut release as a producer came in the form of ...Arriving Soon, released on August 9th through Auckland record label Heat Rockers Records. The project created fervour throughout the New Zealand dance community, culminating in sold out release shows in both Auckland and Wellington.
Uber Driver has maintained a high work rate through recent mixes recorded for outlets Friendly Potential, has been to Berlin once, Newspread and Mexico’s Internet Public Radio. As a resident at Wellington’s well-known Club 121, Uber Driver has built a loyal fan base playing shows with SURFACE Community, at local events such as Cuba Dupa, hosting the A Hint of Mint series with DJ Son of Sesh and running shows under his own record label Racquet Club.
